INDIANAPOLIS — Mid-North Food Pantry is expanding its services to include Saturday shopping hours, beginning Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to noon. The pantry, located at 3333 N Meridian Street, will now open one Saturday each month in addition to its existing weekly Monday, Wednesday, and Friday hours.
This change comes in response to the highest levels of demand the pantry has seen in its 40+ year history. The number of people seeking food assistance has grown significantly in recent months, and all signs indicate the trend is not slowing down.
Saturday pantry days are made possible thanks to generous support from Surplus City Liquidators, whose investment is helping Mid-North reach more families with nutritious food when they need it most. Their partnership reflects the power of local businesses stepping up to support the health and stability of the community.
The pantry is calling on the community for urgent support to help meet this rising need. Volunteers are especially needed the third Saturday each month from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and financial donations are critical to keeping shelves stocked with fresh, healthy food.
