INDIANAPOLIS — The Harrison Center announced the return of its annual FORgiving Tuesday event, offering a fresh alternative to the traditional Giving Tuesday. This uplifting day takes place on Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., inviting the community to come together in the spirit of creativity, forgiveness, and renewal.
This year’s FORgiving Tuesday offers interactive art experiences for the community with Harrison Center artists Lorie Lee Andrews and Carolyn Springer. Andrews will captivate attendees with her intricate printmaking, offering guests the opportunity to create free original prints, “please forgive me,” and “you are forgiven” to take home. Meanwhile, Springer’s Forgiving Sea Project invites participants to write the names of people they need to forgive on her art canvases. Once the canvas is full of names, Springer washes over the names with paint, symbolizing the erasure of pain with powerful healing and peace.
Additionally, LaDonna Goshow will guide attendees through soothing yoga practices that focus on fostering kindness, forgiveness, and self-reflection. Her sessions offer a mindful way to connect with others and let go of any burdens as we move into the holiday season.
Harrison Center will feature these engaging activities for all ages, ensuring that everyone finds a way to participate in the spirit of forgiveness. Whether it’s through hands-on art projects, reflective discussions, or simply soaking in the creative energy of the Harrison Center’s welcoming environment, there’s something for everyone. It is located at 1505 N. Delaware.
All are welcome, and admission is free.
