INDIANAPOLIS — Midwest Food Bank (MFB), in partnership with Presenting Sponsors Kroger and Corteva, are hosting a free admission and family friendly event this Saturday, Aug. 24, at Monument Circle. This event provides $2 million worth of food, which is nearly 700,000 meals.
The community is invited to come for free entertainment from 2 to 6 p.m. There will be appearances from local celebrities, dance teams, and choirs. From 4:30 to 6 p.m., Brett Wiscons will perform a free concert.
Additionally, this event will feature local produce vendors, crafts, Indiana products, and a variety of food trucks with a great variety of items for purchase. Be sure to stop by the Midwest information table to get a free reusable shopping bag. Anyone who makes a $100 donation to Midwest at the event by 5:30 p.m. will be entered into a drawing for a Colts football signed by Anthony Richardson, Ryan Kelly, Jonathan Taylor, Quentin Nelson, and many others.
Midwest Food Bank, Indiana, provides food to 389 partner agencies, is the only food bank serving the entire state, and provides $74 million in food per year at no cost. This is accomplished by rescuing food and utilizing volunteers.
