INDIANAPOLIS — For those looking for a career opportunity, Martin University will hold a Re-Entry Job Fair on Thursday, July 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on its campus, 2186 N. Sherman Drive, in partnership with the Indiana Department of Corrections HIRE program. The fair will feature 46 resource vendors offering a wide range of salaries based on experience and skills.
Multiple employment career paths will be available, and multiple entities will be represented for supportive services and education assistance. Attendees should bring multiple copies of their resumes, have reliable transportation, and have a career-focused mindset.
The event is free and open to everyone, with special encouragement for those re-entering the workforce from incarceration. For more information, an interest in attending, or an interest in being involved in the event, please contact HIRE@Idoc.IN.gov, your case manager, job coach, parole agent, probation officer, or HIRE Coordinator.
The Hoosier Initiative for Re-Entry (HIRE) program was created in 2012 by the Department of Workforce Development to help people with past involvement with the legal system reintegrate into society and to create career paths to give them the opportunities to improve their lives in a sustainable way through work.
