INDIANAPOLIS — As part of National HIV Testing Day events, Marion County Health Dept. staff will offer on-site testing for HIV from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on June 27 at two Walgreens locations: 1530 N. Meridian and 3003 Kessler Blvd. North. Refreshments will be available for participants.
Participants will learn their HIV status within minutes. This is a free event and open to the public. They can also be tested for syphilis and Hepatitis C, but it will take about 20 minutes to get the results of those tests.
In Marion County, an estimated 6,510 individuals are living with HIV/AIDS. The Ryan White/HIV Services program provides $7 million in services for people living with HIV in Central Indiana.
