INDIANAPOLIS — Construction work by Citizens Energy Group contractors on the DigIndy Tunnel System has begun, and requires a full roadway closure along English Ave., about a block east of its intersection with Sherman Drive. Crews expect the closure to be in place at the Denny Street intersection until at least early September. Travelers are encouraged to find alterative routes to avoid delays.
Signs will detour east- and west-bound traffic from English Avenue north to the parallel E. Washington St. via S. Sherman Dr. and Emerson Ave. Local vehicular access will be maintained for nearby neighborhoods.
