INDIANAPOLIS — The Department of Public Works has delayed the electronics recycling event at Ellenberger, Garfield, and Broad Ripple Parks until Jan. 18 as a result of the severe winter weather. The event will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Materials that will be accepted for recycling include electronics (anything with a cord), cardboard, and white molded foam packaging.
In addition, the tree recycling program continues until Jan. 30, with the drop off points as:
• Broad Ripple Park, 1610 Broad Ripple Ave., South lot
• Ellenberger Park, 5301 E. St. Clair St., Main parking lot
• Garfield Park, 2432 Conservatory Drive, MacAllister Center
• Perry Park, 451 Stop 11 Road, Parking lot near pool
• Sahm Park, 6801 E. 91st St., Soccer Field parking lot
Only live trees are accepted for recycling. Artificial trees will not be accepted for this recycling program. All decorations and ornaments must be removed from trees prior to drop off. For questions, please contact the Office of Sustainability at (317) 327 -5893 or sustainindy@indy.gov.
