IRVINGTON — Safe Routes to School – Irvington will have a kick-off meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. at Downey Ave. Christian Church, 5423 Julian Ave.
Members of the community are invited to come together to ensure that all students and families going to school in Irvington can get there and back safely. A representative from Health by Design will be there to explain what the Safe Routes to School Program entails. They will also discuss next steps and brainstorm about how to make the community a safer place to get around.
While this group does focus on the students/schools, our entire community will benefit from making these changes concerning safety.
The groups will meet in Century Hall. Please use the entrance off of Hibben Ave. Door #2.
