INDIANAPOLIS — Primrose schools across Indianapolis recently donated 10,057 canned goods to local organizations on a mission to feed families for the holidays.
Local local preschoolers collected donations for The Caring Center, The Delaware Township Food Pantry, The Gleaners Community Food Bank, Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County, Kids in Crisis Johnson County, The Lawrence Church of God, and The Merciful Help Center.
The effort is part of Primrose’s Caring & Giving Initiative that encourages children to complete age-appropriate household chores for allowance money to buy canned goods. The program also fosters giving without expectation. Participating schools included schools in Hamilton County, Geist, Fishers, and Greenwood.
This nationwide initiative was recently featured on NBC Nightly News.
