IRVINGTON — To honor their friend and favorite Santa Claus, Steve Nicewanger, the Benton House will be accepting toy donations for the holiday season. Paula Nicewanger has asked for these toys to be donated to another amazing local organization, Gaia Works for Coburn Place (a domestic abuse Safe Haven).
Steve was on the Benton House Association Board, and was their Santa Claus for many years. In addition, this would be a fitting gift, as Steve loved toys (and kids) and loved being Santa because it brought smiles to kid’s faces. He passed away on December 28, 2021.
Please donate new, unwrapped gifts at the Benton House during their Annual Holiday Bazaar Fri., Nov., 17th (5-9 p.m.) and Sat., Nov. 18th (10 a.m. -3 p.m.), or you can place the gifts in the deck box by the back door of The Benton House (312 S. Downey) if you are unable to attend the event.
The Holiday Bazaar offers gift-giving ideas from many vendors.
