LAWRENCE — Building on the success of last year’s Holiday Home Tour at Fort Benjamin Harrison, three officers’ quarters — different homes than last year’s event — will be open for the public to tour. Located along Lawton Loop, this fundraising event will be presented by Partnerships for Lawrence (a local nonprofit) on Saturday, December 7, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Cohron Homes is the title sponsor.
Last year’s event brought many people to the historic Fort Benjamin Harrison area, allowing them a peek inside homes that were once officer’s homes when it was an active military base from 1903 to 1991.
In addition to touring these beautifully renovated and holiday-decorated homes, guests will enjoy music, carolers, tasty treats, wine samples or hot chocolate, and a gift shop featuring the works of local artists. Tickets are $12 online, $15 at the door and $10 for members. Tickets are on sale now through www.lawrenceartcenter.org. All proceeds benefit the Lawrence Art Center, a project of Partnerships for Lawrence.
