• Scecina Memorial High School will present High School Musical on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19 at 7 p.m. each night. Tickets are only $10 per person or $5 for Scecina students; grade school students are free. Buy tickets at the door or online at scecina.org/theatre. Scecina is located at 5000 Nowland Ave.
• The YMCA is hosting their All-City tournament for kids ages 6-16 at the Irsay Family YMCA at CityWay (430 S. Alabama) on Friday, March 18 from 6:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 19 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is free, and kids from Ransburg, Fishers, and OrthoIndy will participate.
• Construction around Greenfield City Hall will close the main drive-up to the utility bill drop box March 23-25. You will have to go to South St. through the City Hall parking lot.
• Beech Grove won the Regional Championship on March 12, and are going to 3A Semi-State play this Saturday, March 19 against Sullivan at 1 p.m. They will be playing in Washington, Indiana at the Hatchet House. Cathedral will be playing Bloomington North at 3 p.m. in 4A at the same location.
• Get your tickets NOW for 2022 Beastside Brewfest that will be held on Saturday, April 30 from 7:00-10:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes, 30 S. Downey (Lyons Hall). Many great local breweries will compete for the Beastside Trophy. Ticket includes unlimited samples and a new commemorative 16 oz. pint to purchase $5 pints. Music will be by Six Foot Blonde. Tickets are available online at event.ontaptickets.com for $30 in advance or $35 at the door, if available. Designated driver tickets are $10. Proceeds to benefit the Irvington United Methodist Church Community Playground. You must be over 21 for this event (ID will be checked at the door). This event sells out fast, so go get those tickets!
• Save the date: Hope Center Indy will host a Spring Market featuring handmade and vintage goods on Saturday, April 9 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Freedom Barn, 11850 Brookville Rd. The $3 admission to the market will go to Hope Center Indy to help stop human trafficking and help women who have escaped a life of being trafficked.
• Tickets are still available for Hedy! The Life & Inventions of Hedy Lamarr, a one person show with Heather Massie at the District Theater on March 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. and March 20 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 online and may be available at the door. The theater is located at 627 Mass Ave. Visit districttheatre.org for details and to get tickets.
