IRVINGTON — The Irvington Community Council and the Historic Irvington Halloween Festival recently announced the recipients of the 20-21 Founder’s Awards. Since 2011, the awards have recognized individuals, organizations, and businesses making significant contributions to the overall quality of life in Irvington. The awards will be present during this year’s Historic Irvington Halloween Festival, which will be held Oct. 23-30.
Black Acre Brewing Company was recognized for its efforts to make Irvington a destination, plus supporting community events, and brewing great beer.
The Council recognized the efforts of Paul and Peggy Dielbold, for their commitment to the Irvington Historical Society, and tireless work to preserve the neighborhood and its history.
The Council also recognized Mike and Paula Lewis for outstanding efforts to improve the community, founding the Irvington Garden Club, and selfless giving over the years.
Donn Smith has also been recognized as the Troubadour of Irvington, and his support of other artists in the community.
