INDIANAPOLIS – The Ready for Winter grant program, a $1 million reimbursement plan for local businesses to enable outdoor dining in the coming winter months, will open for applications Friday, Oct. 30. The application for reimbursement can be found at the Web site response.visitindy.com/winter and will be available until November 20. The program was first announced earlier this month. along with the $11 million Hospitality Establishment Lifeline Payment (HELP) grant program for local restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues.
The City has allocated $1 million for establishments affected by COVID-19 public health orders to be reimbursed up to $2,500 for expenses related to winter preparedness during the pandemic. This includes, but is not limited to, the purchase of heaters, outdoor seating capacity, canopies, or other necessary PPE.
The reimbursable grants funds can be used for purchases or rentals incurred and/or paid July 1, 2020 through November 20, 2020.
