INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Parks will provide daily delivery of meals to the nearly 100 program sites, which includes park locations and 36 mobile sites. Additionally, Indy Parks will instruct free food service training for participating organizations and groups in Marion County.
These meals are also enjoyed year-round by children in schools, Indy Parks family centers, public libraries, and apartment complexes. In the past 5 years, the program has served more than 2 million meals, amounting to $6.8 million in free food for Marion County residents.
Sites on the east side for the program include Beech Grove Schools, Shepherd Community Center, the Legacy Center, Brookside Park, Spades Park, Willard Park, Spades Park Library, Garfield Park, Theatre at the Fort in Lawrence, Perry Township Schools, Brightwood Library, Holy Spirit Church, and many more.
