INDIANAPOLIS — East Downtown Indy Neighborhoods (EDIN) is hosting a PI Day celebration on March 14 (3.14) at Paramount Brookside, 3020 Nowland Ave., at 6 p.m.
Co-josted by City-Council Vice-President Zach Adamson, the event will feature activities that focus on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
All are invited to enter homemade pies for the pie baking contest. Categories fo the competition are professional, student, and community pie makers.
Bakers who are entering the competition should arrive at 5:45 p.m. and pie judging will commence at 6:15 p.m. with celebrity judges. Family activities, such as robotics demonstrations and a student recital of Pi to 100 digits will run throughout the event.
Prices for pie and ice cream start at $5 and an entire family can dine for $25. There is a $10 per pie entry fee for pie contest participants.
The judged pies will be auctioned off at the end of the night with proceed supporting EDIN’s mission of promoting connectivity and collaboration on the east side.
