INDIANAPOLIS — Two years after the City of Indianapolis and Marion County launched Shift Indy — a long-term initiative focused on reimagining government service — the project has hit its final milestone. Officials recently launched the new indy.gov website, a digital city hall for the citizens of Indianapolis and Marion County. Over 50 digital services are available on this new site, as well as refreshed and consistent content for every government agency.
The last overhaul of the web site took place in January 2011. Officials originally estimated the project at $3.8 million over two years. The total cost to date is $3.7 million, including $2.2 million in development and design. The Information Services Agency absorbed all cost of this project and annually decreased its overall operating budget during this initiative. To explore the site, visit indy.gov.
