INDIANAPOLIS – The People’s Planning Academy invites community creators and activists to apply for the Thriving Neighborhood Challenge Award. Potential projects for the Thriving Neighborhood Challenge should be resident-led initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life in the neighborhood.
Selected teams will receive two training sessions in late summer, during which resiliency specialists will lead tailored discussions relating to their projects. Following these trainings, selected teams will participate in an intensive two-day workshop, working with City staff and experts to further develop project ideas and build tangible skills to benefit their neighborhood. Four teams will advance to the final round, where they will present their idea to the community at a city-wide event. The winning team will be awarded $2,500 to implement their idea.
Thriving Neighborhood Challenge applications must be submitted before June 22 at 11:59 p.m. For more information and to apply, visit thriveindianapolis.com.
