INDIANAPOLIS — As the seasons change and colder weather approaches, it is important to maintain regular health screenings. On Sat., Oct. 28, Eskenazi Health Center Cottage Corner, the Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police and community organizations are partnering to present the 22nd annual Eskenazi Health Center Cottage Corner Health Fair.
The Eskenazi Health Center Cottage Corner Health Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1434 S. Shelby St. in Indianapolis. No cost health screenings will include blood pressure and dental screenings, as well as a limited number of flu vaccines for those 9 years of age and older. Fountain Square Eye Clinic will also be providing free glaucoma eye screenings.
In addition, Eskenazi Health will have a dedicated staff of navigators available to assist with health insurance enrollment, and a toll-free phone number — 1-855-202-1053 — has been established to connect patients with staff who can answer questions and provide assistance in navigating the various health coverage options available.
Halloween trick-or-treat snacks will be provided by Eskenazi Health Food & Nutrition Services. Free parking and activities will also be available, compliments of the Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police, located across the street from the health center. Youngsters may also look forward to exploring an Eskenazi Health security vehicle and an Indianapolis Fire Department fire truck.
