INDIANAPOLIS — Mayor Joe Hogsett announced Shea Joyce will serve as Deputy Mayor for Operations and Government Affairs. The appointment is effective as of Tuesday, Feb. 10. Joyce has served as Director of Government Affairs and Strategic Initiatives in the Mayor’s Office since March 2024.
In her role as Deputy Mayor for Operations and Government Affairs, Joyce will spearhead the efforts to ensure funding for core government programs and priorities, as well as provide oversight to the Department of Public Works, Indy Parks, the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services, Indianapolis Animal Care Services, and the Office of Audit and Performance. She is an Indianapolis native. Before coming to work for the City of Indianapolis, she spent most of her career organizing and leading campaigns across Indiana. She has a bachelor’s degree in communication from Valparaiso University.
