GREENFIELD — The 10th annual Arts & Rummage sale at the Hancock County Fairgrounds will open at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21. Vendors will be selling rummage sale items, antiques, collectibles, electronics, home décor, books, record albums, clothing; homemade crafts including 3D printing, crochet, woodwork and flower arrangements; other vendors will be there offering fire safety equipment and advice, bath and body items and free table massages.
Not to be overlooked is the “arts” part of Arts & Rummage. Since the event is a fundraiser for KidsPlay, Inc. children’s theatre, organizers always showcase some of the local talent. Perennial performers include Cristy Corwin-Howard’s Hearts Ablaze cloggers; musical troubadour Jesse Jones; Mickler & Nickels violin and harp duo; singers Alex Agee, Taylor Shelton and the CrazyLake Trio of Shelton, Amy Studabaker and Coy Hutcherson; and Greenfield-Central Junior High orchestra teacher Grant Pfifer with his fiddle group.
Arts & Rummage is a fundraiser for KidsPlay Inc. children’s theatre. Admission is $1 at the door. Breakfast food, coffee and lunch food are available for purchase. Twelve and under are free. The fairgrounds are located at 620 Apple St. in Greenfield.
