GREENWOOD — The February featured exhibition is a group exhibit by over 30 of the watercolor students of Beverly S. Mathis at the Southside Art League Off Broadway Gallery. The show theme is “Crazy Color Critters.” Bring the kids to this show; they will love it. Many paintings will be for sale, and would make a unique and fun gift for Valentine’s Day.
Last summer the two watercolor classes artists were instructed on how to paint an animal portrait, but with a new twist, NOT with the natural colors. Skill levels in the classes range from beginner watercolorists to professional artists.
The “Crazy Color Critters” paintings will be on display from Feb. 4-28 at the Southside Art League, Inc. (SALI) Off Broadway Gallery, 299 E. Broadway St. in Greenwood.
Visit the gallery during regular hours Wed. – Sat. 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Closed Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday. Please call SALI to arrange for viewing by appointment at any other time.
Come meet the many artists at the SALI Open House, Saturday Feb. 7 from 2-4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
