IRVINGTON — The Black Hats Society recently announced their fundraising totals for 2025. They donated $11,500, 961 non-perishable food items, and had over 2,600 volunteer hours. They raised funds throughout the year from events, merchandise, donations, and Dine & Donates.
Irvington Counseling was their primary charity and received $11,500. In 2025, they provided 8,545 sessions, with over 900 subsidized through their Mental Health Relief Fun. Their work making affirming and equitable mental health services available to Hoosiers was inspirational.
The members also donated 961 non-perishable food items to The Big Red Box Project. Since October of 2020, they have been fighting hunger in the Irvington area. The Boxes are free and accessible to anyone in need.
The Irvington Witches gave over 2,600 volunteer hours, not including their individual time spent on costuming. From Reading with a Witch, to helping with the Mosaic for the Damien Center, to serving at the Ice Cream Social, members showed up in many ways for the community. Many members volunteered to work the events, which raised over $6,000. Several who contributed to our handmade merchandise, including knit hats and bat houses, that brought in $,1840.
