INDIANAPOLIS — Explore the architecture, preservation, and tradition of historic churches in and around Indianapolis’s Mapleton-Fall Creek neighborhood, including some decorated for the holidays on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
On this go-at-your-own-pace tour, get an inside look at five outstanding historic churches, all open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, New Circle Church, Trinity Episcopal Church, Phillips Temple CME Church, and Broadway United Methodist Church. Ticket Prices are $23/General Public (Ages 12 & up), $20/Indiana Landmarks Members, $15/Child (Ages 6-11)
Learn about the architectural features and history of each house of worship from representatives on site. Advance ticket holders may check in at any time at tour headquarters, Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, 418 E. 34th St., to receive a tour program and map. Day-of-tour tickets cost an additional $5 per ticket price and may be purchased at tour headquarters, beginning at 10 a.m. on December 6. Tourgoers are responsible for their own transportation between stops. Ample parking is available at all sites. Interiors of all sites are accessible via ramp and elevator.
