INDIANAPOLIS — Atrial Fibrillation (A-Fib) is common and sometimes symptomless. The longer it goes undiagnosed without proper treatment, the more it can progress and become difficult to treat.
A-Fib can show up as a flutter or blip on a smartwatch or with no warning at all. Untreated, it can increase risk for stroke or other heart complications.
To help manage A-Fib, Franciscan Health has opened an A-Fib clinic at Franciscan Physician Network Indiana Heart Physicians at its clinic in Indianapolis.
The Franciscan Physician Network Indiana Heart Physicians A-Fib clinic offers same-week appointments for newly diagnosed A-Fib patients, as well as 1-on-1 education with an A-Fib nurse coordinator, accelerated referrals for tests and specialists along with medicine management and personalized treatments.
A-Fib is managed by medications and/or ablation. Another treatment option for patients with A-fib is a minimally invasive Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion Device, which provides a reduction in stroke risk.
The Franciscan Physician Network Indiana Heart Physicians A-Fib Clinic is located at 5330 East Stop 11 Road in Indianapolis.
To schedule an appointment at the A-Fib clinic, call 317- 893-1911.
