INDIANAPOLIS The World Food Championships returns to Indianapolis October 16–19 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds bringing together over 300 chefs and culinary teams from around the world to compete live for the title of World Food Champion and a share of $450,000 in prize money. This is the largest food championship of its kind, starting in 2012.
Participants can enjoy up-close cooking battles in Kitchen Arena, plus food tastings, celebrity chef demos, live music, interactive experiences, and fun for the whole family.
On Oct. 16, events are closed to the public or by invitation only. The kickoff party and final rounds are open to ticket holders on Oct. 16 from 6-9 p.m. and Oct. 18 and 19 from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. General admission tickets are $28 Single Day or $50 Weekend Pass. General admission includes full access to all pavilions and Kitchen Arena, product samples from “World of Chili,” Live Fire & BBQ Experience with Famous Dave’s, WFC Ag Zone, International Food Village and more. There will also be live music, demos, car show, kids’ zone, mascots, and chef meet and greets. Kids 5 and under are free.
Upgrades are available, including Champion-inspired, premium experience hosted by Celebrity Chef Eric Greenspan that includes 10 champion-inspired tasting bites, lounge access with chef-led demos, and much more on Saturday and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. for an extra $45 (must be paired with Taste of WFC).
