INDIANAPOLIS — The Marion County Public Health Department has added Saturday walk-in hours to the weekly schedule for its Vital Records office, which issues birth certificates and death certificates for Marion County. Walk-in hours on Wednesdays will also change, closing one hour earlier.
The Vital Records office is located on the first floor of the Marion County Public Health Department’s main building located at 3838 N. Rural Street.
The updated schedule for Vital Records walk-in services is:
• Monday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Tuesday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Wednesday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Thursday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Saturday 8 a.m.-Noon
Requirements needed to receive a copy of a birth certificate or death certificate through the Marion County Public Health Department have not changed.
