INDIANAPOLIS — The 20th Anniversary IndyFringe Festival presented by Everwise Credit Union, will feature nearly 70 distinct acts and support over 500 artists from across the globe, providing unique and affordable arts experiences for thousands of Hoosiers this August. Including a number of free events and with some tickets as low as $12, this annual celebration of the performing arts features a wide range of artistic styles from puppetry and ballet to stand-up comedy, Bollywood dance, and a wide variety of immersive and interactive theatre experiences. This year’s IndyFringe Festival will run from Aug. 14-24
Since the first festival in 2005, The IndyFringe Festival presented by Everwise Credit Union has brought over 217,000 guests to the district, and returned over $2.5 million to the artists fueling Indy’s creative market.
IndyFringe is able to return 70% of all box office revenue directly to the artists creating the work. This year, IF Theatre is also investing in free community experiences as part of the festival, such as hiring buskers to entertain audiences on the street between venues (all within a 20-minute walk of each other), a karaoke night, and the 20th Anniversary Celebration, Fringe-a-palooza, which will include local merchants, tarot reading, and musical entertainment on Sunday, Aug. 17 from noon-6 p.m. at the Athenaeum Biergarten.

Tickets range in price from $12 – $22 and select shows offer pay-what-you-can pricing with a $12 minimum (including fees). A 6-Ticket Flex Pass goes for $99 — use all six tickets for a single show or see six incredible performances. IndyFringe has also added venues in 2025. This year, the festival returns to The Athenaeum Basile Theatre, and expands to a new stage at VisionLoft Events at 235 N. Delaware. Other venues include the IF Theatre (2 stages), and District Theatre (2 stages)
In addition to the Festival’s popular preview night, which is a free opportunity for guests to experience 2-minute previews from most of the festival’s participants (Wednesday, Aug. 13), at 6 p.m. in the Athenaeum Theatre. This year’s festivities will also include a one-night only presentation of Lou Harry and John Thomas’s hit interactive auction show, Going… going… gone (Thursday, Aug. 14 – at 9:30 p.m., at the Basile Theatre at IF.
