INDIANAPOLIS — During the weekend of June 21st and 22nd, Grace Church at 5605 Franklin Road will celebrate its 80th anniversary. The independent non-denominational church has had a presence in Indianapolis since 1945. For most of its existence the church was located at 2200 English Ave. near downtown, before building at its current location in 2015.
The church has had only 5 pastors in its 80-year history, with the current pastor having been in place since 2022.
Just a few weeks after the anniversary celebration, the church will be offering a public-service car wash on July 12th where anyone can have their car hand-washed for no charge. They are asking for donations of non-perishable items that will go to a local food pantry. The congregation will also be offering a free community movie night on Aug. 8th.
