INDIANAPOLIS — The 2025 St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild Decorators’ Show House and Gardens, the longest running decorator show house event in the nation, will once again welcome the public to tour a classic Indianapolis house with proceeds benefiting Eskenazi Health. This year’s residence, the Baxter house, is located at 5676 N. Pennsylvania St.
The annual event runs from Tuesday, April 22, through Sunday, May 11. Hours are 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday – Friday; and from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The show house is closed on Mondays. Tickets can be purchased at www.showhouseindy.org. Parking is available on the street and throughout the neighborhood.
Our team of over twenty top-notch interior designers and landscape architects are collaborating to reimagine this magnificent home. Tickets will also be available at the door for $40 (credit cards only). Tickets purchased online are $35.
This year’s show house marks the 64th time St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild has hosted the event, which will feature the work of local design firms and landscape companies who have used their talents and creativity to transform more than 25 interior and exterior spaces of the historic Baxter house. The French Norman-style house is located in the Meridian-Kessler neighborhood . The house’s foundation was originally dug by horse and shovel in six months, and the original owners moved into the house in 1931. The house now spans approximately 7,000 square feet and maintains many original fixtures, woodwork, iron railings, inlaid glass artwork and hand-carved fireplace sculptures.
Since 1907, St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild has been a key partner in supporting Eskenazi Health’s mission and has raised more than $14 million to support the work of Eskenazi Health. This year’s show house will benefit the John & Kathy Ackerman Mental Health Professional Development Center at Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center,
