INDIANAPOLIS — On Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Central Library, families with young children are invited for a celebration of language and literacy. Activities include concerts, storytimes in English and Spanish, games, art, and more. Daniel Tiger will be there as well. There will be free books and giveaways for every child.
At this event, you can play and learn in the playground, read and sing in storytimes, dance your wiggles out at concerts from 123 Andrés, get a temporary tattoo, and write thank you letters to first responders in our post office.
Sensory Hour is from 9-10 a.m., and sing and dance sessions with the Grammy Award-winning duo 123 Andrés will be at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. There will be storytimes from IndyPL librarians every half hour (English on the hour, Spanish on the half hour)
Everyone is encouraged to bring lip balm to donate to Riley Children’s Hospital.
Parking is available in the Library parking garage (entrance on Pennsylvania St.) and on streets near Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair.
