INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Chief Christopher Bailey recently appointed Grace Sibley as the Commander of Professional Standards.
Commander Sibley joined the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department in 2007 and began her career on Northwest District as a patrol officer. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege to serve in a variety of areas across the department. Commander Sibley was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2017 and was assigned to work as a field sergeant on North District Middle Shift.
Commander Sibley was raised in Indianapolis and graduated from Warren Central High School. She attended Indiana University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In 2019, Commander Sibley graduated from the IMPD Leadership Academy. In 2022, she graduated from the Department of Homeland Security Executive Leadership course. For the past five years, Commander Sibley has served on the IMPD Career Leadership Development (CLD) Review Committee, which oversees IMPD’s master patrol and master detective program.
