INDIANAPOLIS — On or after Tuesday, March 4, the Indiana Department of Transportation will install school zone signs with flashers on Brookville Road (U.S. 52) near Burge Terrace Christian School on the east side of Indianapolis.
Multiple flashing signs will be installed on Brookville Road to alert motorists as they approach the school’s entrance and exit. The school zone speed limit will be 40 mph when signs are flashing.
Motorists should use extra caution in the area as drivers adjust to the new school zone. INDOT encourages drivers to slow down and avoid distractions when traveling near schools, especially during drop-off and pick-up times. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
