• GEOfest is back at the Indiana State Museum. Whether you are a rockhound, a fossil enthusiast, or you just love crystals and gems, there is something exciting for everyone to discover. This annual three-day program features three floors of rock, mineral and fossil vendors, along with hands-on activities, concrete making and community partner displays for visitors to enjoy. The show is included with museum admission, $13 for adults. Discounted tickets must be purchased in person. Includes $4 parking validation. Tickets can be purchased online at indianamuseum.org The museum is located at 650 W. Washington St.

• Beginning on Monday, Feb. 24, CSX will be closing the railroad crossing at Pendleton Pike and Carroll Rd. for repairs. The work is expected to be completed in 5 or 6 days, and the crossing reopened Monday, March 3. Carroll Rd. will be closed north of Pendleton Pike, but Pendleton will remain open.
• There will be a Disability Resource Fair on Saturday, March 1 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Fort Ben Library, 9330 E. 56th St. There will be lots of information and local resources available for individuals with cognitive disabilities and their caretakers. Therapy options, advice from families who have gone through the process of getting help, and other resources will be available. The event is free and open to the public.
• On Saturday, Feb. 22 from noon-4 p.m., Central Library will host a Lunar New Year Celebration. Featuring the IACA Lion Dance Team, the library will celebrate the Year of the Snake. There will be lots of activities, including a Chinese Lion Dance, Tai Chi, calligraphy, and lots more. Register online at https://attend.indypl.org/event/12501794. The library is located at 40 E. • The Magick Candle will present Clint Edwards, the founder of The Sacred Shrooms on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. at the shop, located at 6125 E. Washington St. (parking in the back). He will have a class on the medicinal and health benefits of mushrooms. Admission is $10, and the class is limited to 14 people. Please call to make a reservation at 317-357-1101 or stop by the shop.
• If you are creatively inclined and would like a laid-back arty sharing spot, check out the Magpie Gallery, 206 S. Audubon on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. There will be snacks, coffee, tea or cocoa and space to work on projects. Bring your own materials, in any medium. Admission is free!
