Joy’s House and American Senior Community Partner to Help Caregivers

INDIANAPOLIS — In an effort to serve caregivers in the Indianapolis community, the compassionate team at American Senior Communities (ASC) has partnered with Joy’s House on their innovate web-based program, Caregiver Way.
Joy’s House is an Indianapolis based not-for-profit organization with a mission that is two-fold: to serve adults living with life-altering diagnoses through our exceptional adult day programs and to serve caregivers through our innovative support services.
The partnership began in September 2024 with the purpose of expanding the audience for the caregiver resource, Caregiver Way. This partnership comes at a special time as both Joy’s House and ASC will celebrate their 25th anniversaries of serving the community in 2025. Together, the organizations will build on their shared mission of supporting caregivers by enhancing access to resources that address the unique challenges caregivers face.
Indiana continues to rank as one of the worst states in our nation for supporting and training family caregivers, according to the AARP Report Card, year after year. Nationally, caregivers are suffering as well. 53 million people who are caregivers in the United States are currently providing a value of over $600 billion annually. Caregivers are often unprepared, untrained and uneducated. Over time that can lead to frustration, isolation and health concerns of their own. The solution is Caregiver Way, a website that is a hub for information and resources.
