INDIANAPOLIS — Martin University’s Homecoming Week that will focus on alumni but is open to current students and the community. Unless otherwise noted, the event will be held at the University, 2186 North Sherman Drive.
• City-Wide Unity Prayer Breakfast – Monday, Oct. 14 at 9:00 a.m.; Gathertorium
• Distinguished Alumni Awards Reception – Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 6:30 p.m.; Gathertorium. Tickets and tables are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting www.martin.edu/homecoming.
• First Lady’s Tea – Thursday, October 17 at 11:30 a.m.; Hotel Carmichael. Tickets and sponsorships are available for purchase by visiting www.martin.edu/homecoming.
• Funny Business Comedy Show Feat. Made Man Improv – Fri., Oct. 18 at 8:00 p.m.; Gathertorium.Attendees will laugh all night with the infamous Made Man Improv Group. Tickets are $25 and available for purchase by visiting www.martin.edu/homecoming.
• Community Kickball Tournament – Saturday, Oct. 19 at 10:00 a.m.; Frederick Douglass Park. This event is open to the entire community and teams can be co-ed. Team registration is $200; spectator tickets are $4. Register your team or purchase tickets by visiting www.martin.edu/homecoming.
• NCREI Community Access Fair – Saturday, Oct. 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Gathertorium Sponsored by the National Center for Racial Equity and Inclusion (NCREI) at Martin University, its community events foster partnerships, disrupt systemic barriers, and connect the community to companies, organizations, and allies entrenched in work that combats systemic issues. Assistance will be provided in education, housing, criminal justice, employment, health entities, and more. The event is free but requires an advanced RSVP at www.martin.edu/homecoming.
Souled Out Martin Sunday Worship Service – Sunday, October 20 at 6:00 p.m.; Gathertorium. The grand finale of the Homecoming festivities will be a spiritually uplifting experience at the Martin Sunday Service as renowned guest pastor Rev. Dr. Kevin Cosby is welcomed back. His words of wisdom and guidance have touched countless lives.
