INDIANAPOLIS — Over the Sept. 21-22 weekend, IMPD and Indiana State Police teamed up to stop street takeovers and spinning incidents that became violent over the previous weekend, leading to IMPD vehicles being damaged. ISP provided information from their helicopters that allowed IMPD to make seven arrests. IMPD also towed at least four vehicles and seized firearms, plus issued 40 tickets.
IMPD is taking the trend of spinning and street takeovers very seriously, as they are dangerous and illegal, endangering the lives of both participants and innocent bystanders.
IMPD and ISP will continue the crackdown on the illegal behavior.
