INDIANAPOLIS — Martin University will host a bi-partisan voter engagement and awareness event on Sunday, September 29 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on its campus at 2186 Sherman Drive.
The “Empower the Vote” event aims to educate, engage and activate the community around the upcoming elections through “meet and greet” opportunities with local candidates, educational activities including learning about various issues, voter registration and information on how all eligible voters can exercise their right to vote.
The event is specifically designed to mobilize, educate and encourage voters to “Act for Democracy,” and also offer an opportunity to volunteer to assist potential voters to ensure they are ready for Election Day, November 5, and sign up to help transport voters to the polls that day.
Individuals can also register to vote at the event.
