INDIANAPOLIS — Community Health Network and Lifepoint Behavioral Health, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, have announced their intention to form a joint venture partnership. Through the proposed joint venture, Community and Lifepoint Behavioral Health will build and operate new inpatient behavioral health hospitals as part of Community’s broader network of behavioral healthcare in central Indiana, increasing available behavioral health beds serving central Indiana to meet future needs.
The new hospitals will provide inpatient and outpatient services for patients diagnosed with a broad range of behavioral health needs. The facilities will be specially designed to create a therapeutic environment for patients, featuring open, airy spaces with amenities that include spacious patient rooms, community areas, outdoor courtyards and state-of-the-art clinical spaces.
This anticipated investment in behavioral healthcare follows a successful partnership in inpatient rehabilitation care in Indiana. Community and Lifepoint Rehabilitation, also a business unit of Lifepoint Health, currently operate a network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, including Community Rehabilitation Hospital North in northeast Indianapolis, Community Rehabilitation Hospital South in Greenwood and Community Rehabilitation Hospital West in Brownsburg.
The new hospitals will fold seamlessly into the current Community Fairbanks Behavioral Health continuum of care and support Community’s mission of enhancing the health and well-being across all the communities they serve.
