INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Dept. of Transportation (INDOT) continues to work on improvements on a five mile stretch of U.S. 36 an State Road 67 between I-465 and 65th St., better known as Pendelton Pike. The work involves enhancing left-turn safety in the area to improve traffic flow. The thoroughfare is one of the main roads serving the northeast side of Indianapolis and into Hancock County.
Expect improvements to intersections, with better alignment and visibility at 56th St., plus new sidewalks for pedestrians. A recent review of crash reports showed higher-than-average crash rates in the area.
Construction started earlier this year, and will continue throughout 2025.
