INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is excited to announce that IMPD’s Mounted Patrol is getting ready to gallop into a neighborhood near you.
IMPD Mounted Patrol is used for law enforcement in crowd control, as well as ambassadors to the community. The IMPD Mounted Unit is also moving to a new location soon. The city has donated property beside the IMPD K9 Facility, and is almost finished with the barn, but needs funding to complete the job. The new barn will provide a safe and comfortable space for our horses and the officers who work with them.
Public support for the Mounted Patrol would be appreciated. Checks should be made out to ‘The Central IN Police Foundation’.
