New Exhibit at Bona Thompson Explores Native Roots

IRVINGTON — The new exhibit of the Irvington Historical Society is a partnership with the Miami Nation of Indians of Indiana, the Delaware Tribe of Indiana, and the Indianapolis Indians baseball team to explore the history and current lived experience of our First Nations. The exhibit will open Saturday, July 6 and will remain through November at the Bona Thompson Memorial Center, 5350 University Ave. The center is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. Private tours are available by special appointment. Admission is free, but a donation is much appreciated to help pay for maintenance on the historic building.
