INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Fire Department is beyond excited to have taken delivery of 12 Pierce Mfg Enforcer Pumpers. #IFD has 103 pieces of front line apparatus responding every day in the IFD service district. These 12 engines will replace the current ones at IFD stations 2, 6, 9, 10, 12, 15, 18, 19, 25, 43, 44 and 46 as part of the front line contingent.
The pumpers color scheme, dark gray over red, is new to the IFD and is an exciting change from the longtime colors of white over red for Indy’s Bravest.
In 2023 IFD had 170,000 responses.
