INDIANAPOLIS — New York Times bestselling and award-winning author Tiffany D. Jackson will visit Central Library,40 E. St. Clair, on Tuesday, April 30 at 6 p.m. to participate in a talk and Q&A session for teens and adults. A book sale and signing will take place thereafter, with books provided by Kids Ink Children’s Bookstore. This event is free and open to the public.
Jackson is a Coretta Scott King and John Steptoe New Talent Award winner and an NAACP Image Award Nominee. She is the author of popular young adult books such as Monday’s Not Coming, Allegedly, Let Me Hear A Rhyme, Grown, White Smoke, The Weight of Blood, and the co-author of Blackout. Many of her young adult novels draw inspiration from well-known stories and speak to issues facing youth in the Black community.
Students from Indianapolis schools including Warren Central, Ben Davis 9th Grade Center, and Lawrence Central High School will have an opportunity to connect with Jackson at Central Library before her public talk and Q&A session.
