INDIANAPOLIS — Residents of Irvington and the east side will hold their second Irvington Safe Streets Movement event Saturday, Nov. 25 from 2-4 p.m. There will be two locations walkers can meet at — in front of the Magick Candle, 6125 E. Washington St. and a downtown Irvington location yet to be determined. It is Shop Small Saturday, so participants may have difficulty finding parking along East Washington.
Walkers are encouraged to wear bright clothing or costumes and bring signs to draw attention to traffic safety, particularly speeding. Walkers are discouraged from impeding traffic, and to be kind.
Cyclists will also be welcome to the event. Cyclists will meet at Indy Cycle Specialist, 5804 E. Washington Str. Remember to have an audible device on your bike. Lights are not required during daytime hours but they are recommended.
