INDIANAPOLIS — The Library is proud to partner with local organizations to team up for community health including COVID-19 vaccine clinics, free gun locks, and more.
You may call ahead to confirm clinic hours before arriving.
Beginning September 25, 2023, every U.S. household can again place an order to receive four free COVID-19 rapid tests delivered directly to your home. Limit of one order per residential address.
Before You Throw Out “Expired” Tests: Check the FDA’s website to see if your COVID-19 tests’ expiration dates have been extended.
COVID Vaccination clinics will be available:
• College Avenue, 4180 College Ave., 317-275-4320. Open Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. & Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• Garfield Park, 2502 Shelby St. (mobile unit outside), 317-275-4490. Open Friday: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Martindale-Brightwood, 2434 N. Sherman Dr., 317-275-4310. Open Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Lead Screening Kits are available thanks to Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) Center for Urban Health. Residents can screen their homes and yards for lead by picking up free Lead Screening Kits at all 17 Seed Library locations plus the Martindale-Brightwood Branch. Simply drop by the seed library closest to your home, pick up a Kit, collect samples, then return your Kit with those samples to The Library.
