INDIANAPOLIS — Lawrence resident and Martin University graduate Kristin Liggin has been selected as a participant in Intend Indiana’s prestigious two-year Trent Garrett Fellowship, effective July 5. The program is exposing her to professional development opportunities, industry-wide networking opportunities, and real-world examples of what it’s like working in the real estate development and community development finance industries.
Liggin recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Martin University with a bachelor’s in Business Administration. During her college career she interned with the Indianapolis Pacers. She began a career in property management in 2015 and became a licensed real estate broker in 2021, leveraging her property management experience to better understand the diverse housing needs of underrepresented communities.
Liggin joins two other Hoosiers who have been selected to the fellowship, which is designed for aspiring real estate professionals. They are: Michael Grossniklaus, a Ball State University graduate, and Precious Stevenson, an Urban Land Institute REDI program graduate with a Real Estate certificate from the Indiana Real Estate Institute. Grossniklaus and Stevenson began their fellowship on June 5.
