LAWRENCE — Heartland Film is honored to be the temporary home of a new film and multimedia experience, Liminal Exhibit by Indiana Humanities and Hoodox. There will be a Kick-Off Party on Thursday, June 1 open to the public at 6 p.m.
Showcasing 30 large scale photographs, the Liminal Exhibit will be on display during the reception at Heartland Film HQ at the Fort Ben Cultural Campus, 8950 Otis Ave. There will be appetizers and a cash bar. The party will then move next door to Arts for Lawrence’s Theater at the Fort at 7 p.m. to view the 55-minute meditative aerial film, “Liminal: Indiana in the Anthropocene.”
This special screening will include a live score by composer, Nate Utesch (aka Metavari), followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers. Nate is a Grammy nominated art director and graphic artist from Fort Wayne who has worked in the music industry on 400 titles with artists such as Weezer, Korn, and Phoebe Bridgers.
