INDIANAPOLIS — Monarch Beverage Company, owned by Reyes Beverage Group, will move to a new building at 6900 English Ave. The 450,000 square foot facility will be part of a new development of the 44 acres that used to be the Ford Visteon site. The total cost for the building, equipment and land is estimated to be about $73 million. The company will also invest in infrastructurem including the construction of sidewalks to the site, as well as around the campus, which has been renamed the Thunderbird Commerce Center.
Monarch is Indiana’s largest beer distributor and has been in business about 75 years. Currently located on Pendleton Pike in a 500,000 square foot facility, Monarch plans to retain all of its 500 workers.
The company will move from the Lawrence property after it completes a 15-year lease term in late 2024. They are also expected to receive a pair of five-year tax abatements for its real and personal property, saving it about $4.58 million.
