INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Fire Dept. and IMPD are teaming up with the DEA to keep Indy safe. Five IFD Stations will be used to supplement the already established locations by the DEA for National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday Oct. 29.
IMPD Officers will be staffing the take back at the fire stations from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Below are the IFD stations participating:
• Station 1 – 1903 W. 10th
• Station 2 - 4120 Mitthoeffer Rd
• Station 4 - 8404 N. Ditch
• Station 23 – 1108 E. Thompson Rd
• Station 27 – 2918 E. 10th
These locations will take back any unwanted, unused, or expired prescription medications in your home. The items will be disposed of properly. The April Take Back Day resulted in 360 tons of unwanted medications being turned in across the country.
